OOOOOPS!

Just thought I'd share my frustration and sadness. I'm currently in morning, I thought I'd organise and clean some of my jewelry (probably a first) and typically me, I've only gone and smashed a very special glass jewelry box bought by a very special friend of mine. WHY!? don't you just hate when things like that happen, i shouldn't of bothered. =(

BELATED BIRTHDAY POSTAGE.

Ok, so getting into this blogging thing is not as easy as I'd hoped! I'm constantly making mental notes of things I want/ need and should write about but it's simply about making the time, and today is where I start. I'm having a well deserved/ needed lazy Sunday! I have spent the majority of the day flicking through some of my favourite blogs and have just cracked open a bottle of Pinot whilst waiting for dinner courtesy of Mr Malone.

I'm trying ever so hard to not get involved. Don't get me wrong he is a fabulous cook, but I can't help but get involved which usually ends up in an argument so headphones on, hands firmly attached to my mac and mouth shut. (I'll let you know how this one pans out).

A couple of weeks back it was my birthday. All that know me know I dislike birthdays, or at least have done for the past few years. However Mr Malone made this a very special one indeed, including doing his very best to get me excited before hand with a birthday countdown, a room full of balloons and birthday banners! It was a first to wake up to him on my day of birth as we now have a flat together. This years birthday morning consisted of champagne, strawberries and my favourite; a garlic philly bacon bagel! Yum! Anyway seen as I have a thing for anything gold, I thought I'd feature some of the fabulous gifts that i received from him, making it extra Extra special.

I had fallen in love with this Vivienne Westwood ring a while ago. It's called the 'Cemetery Ring' and I just love how its mixes gold and silver, hard with the gold bones and pretty with the swarovski crystals around the edges. It's PERFECT!

This arrow and pearl necklace by Kabiri was a complete suprise, I saw it in Selfridges and tried it on and loved it. But really did not expect to be opening this up. Check out some of their other pieces here, I have already got my eye on a few.

This metallic gold leather iphone 4 case is a beaut! My love for gold extends further than jewelry and the man ordered this phone case for me. I'm not one for a hard or plastic case on my phone...yes..i know its bad! After all I shattered the screen on my 3G 3 times, but i cant help it, style simply gets the better of me I love this as its so thin and soft and of course GOLD.

All in all a dreaded birthday turned out to be a fabulous birthday week, with some really special gifts from friends and family, lots and lots of gold, from balloons to cakes and some much needed birthday fun. Without embarrassing some of my gals (as we were slightly worse for wear on a few too many cocktails) I uploaded this brilliant cake they surprised me with on our night at the Brickhouse.
