So this morning I woke from what I would describe as a musical hot pot. It stems from a slight (more like extreme) feel of jealousy for a few friends who are off to see Prodigy tomorrow along with Pendulum and Chase and Status...HELLO!! Why am I not going? The answer to that is pretty simple; money. I have had an extremely expensive month with one week left to pay day. However, that didn't stop me winning tickets to see them left, right and centre in last nights dream, although, for various reasons I never made it, one included being beaten up by The Momford & Sons? Weird.
To throw another random music genre in the pot Mr. Malone (my right arm) has been given a pair of tickets to see Erykah Badu tomorrow at Brixton Academy. She isn't exactly on the top of my to see list, and most definitely does NOT make up for not seeing Prodigy but what the heck, I might as well, I may even be pleasantly surprised (hmmm).
Anyway, I thought I'd mention one little lady I am completely hooked on at the moment; Janelle Monáe. I just cant get enough, she is totally original, a breath of fresh air. Her album ARCHANDROID is pretty amazing, it's an orchestral phenomena, and not only is she musically talented but you have got to see this girl dance, one word SPECTACULAR. For those of you who haven't seen the light check her out.
